Library Coffee House
— Bookshop café, University Area
Eight thousand books, two thousand of them readable, a hundred of them rare. CEPT and IIM kids treat it like an extension of the library, which is exactly the point. Coffee is fine; the atmosphere does the rest.
There's a first-edition Gujarati translation of Tagore somewhere on the third shelf from the left. The owner will let you read it if you ask. He will not let you buy it.
The coffee is not the reason to come, but it's better than average — a decent South Indian filter and a reasonable pour-over. Come for the books, stay for the quiet, leave having read something you didn't expect to.
